The powerful queen Tauesert

She is the last pharaoh of the New Kingdom Dynasty 19, had ruled two years alone in the twelfth century before Christ. She was a member of the royal family Ramesside extensive descendant of the many sons of the great pharaoh Ramses the Second, she was not daughter  of kings, but she was great royal wife of Pharaoh Seti Second, was a daughter of the Pharaoh called Seti Meremptah, who died at her birth

Tausert has played an important role alongside her husband, and when the Second Seti is dead, has been crowned a boy named Siptah, with whom he had no relationship with Tauesert. She was appointed regent of the boy-king, despite attempts to compare their situation with that of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, Tausert was not a direct descendant of kings or great royal wives

we can not understand the history of Siptah with Tausert as regent and later she ruled alone without knowing the consultant's Bay ambiguous person, was responsible for the coronation of Siptah child, and his power over the new monarch, a sick little boy and leg almost immobilized by the help of time and childhood of the monarch, the consultant Bay is becoming a real king without a crown, and Siptah  has become a puppet. However, there are two views of students regarding Tauesert and Bay, some say that they were in good agreement and had great harmony with each other, others say they were fighting for power

Tausert ascended the throne when Siptah died, after a short reign of six years. was unlikely that the young king died or killed, something similar to Tut Ankh Amon, but take into account his poor health, and their disappearance would only complicate things. Tausert as some  historians recognize was the fifth and last wife Pharaoh.

With the dynasty ended by Tausert  ,there was much greed of  the throne of several blocks at this time: 1-the priests of the god Amun, 2 - the viceroys of Nubia, 3 - the pressures of the royal family at Tanis who questioned the authority of Tausert. The main rival of the Queen was Setnajt Tauesert pharaoh, a man Ramesside of the military caste, who believed that only a stronger hand with kinship of Ramses the Second, could end the chaos that had caused the former kings and had risen Tausert.

The conflict between Tausert  and Sethnajt  would last two years of government, and eventually the queen  has been overthrown, if not killed by unknown causes.

Tausert made his tomb in the royal cemetery of the Valley of the Kings as soon as several pharaohs like Queen Hatshepsut, we know that the queen's mummy has never come to use the tomb, but it would be usurped by his intimate enemy Sethnajt, proclaimed pharaoh and founded the dynasty twenty. Apart from this tomb, there are very few traces remain of Tausert: made very few buildings erected in both its Regency Siptah as his government alone, and also his memory and the Bay were later persecuted by Sethnajt
