The ancient Egyptians have chosen the beetle as sacred symbol of the sun for several reasons:1 - The beetle lays its eggs inside a ball of dung which she rolls into a hole in the ground for the larvae have food after they hatch. When all the dung was consumed, so the ancient Egyptians worshiped as the creator god2-The beetle when he pushes the ball forward is like the sun when it is pushed by the gods every day to go out every morning and every evening to fall, is an act of creative gods3-The beetle comes always with the first rays of sun after struggling against the sand that clogged all night, the same sun's struggle against the darkness every night out4-The beetle lays its eggs in dead matter or which manure that many beetles are emerging, pol which the Egyptians believed that the beetles come from dead matter, or rather the beetle is a symbol of rebirth, resurrection and renewal and from this view is understood the significance of Kheper: come into existence, so the beetle was treated as a god creator and manufacturer
